海に面した料理屋で小さなお月見の宴が行われた後でしょうか？
お刺身の大皿、水鉢に浮かべたおちょこ、周りには扇子やキセル等々が無造作に散らばっています。
お皿の右にちょっぴり見えている芸者さんはどうやら三味線をしまって帰るところのようです。
左手の障子に映る影はかんざしをたくさん挿した遊女。
宴が終わって、さてこれから…。
ちょっとどきどきする作品です。（*^_^*）
This is a room inside a house of pleasure by the sea.
A small, private moon-viewing party has just finished.
Around the lantern scatter the party leftovers; a big sashimi plate, sake cup floating in a washing bowl, a fan, a pipe, etc.
Mostly hidden, but we can make out a geisha sitting by the plate.
She is probably packing up her samisen (a musical instrument with strings) to leave.
Behind the shoji screen to the left, stands a courtesan, with the elaborate hair style.
Well, we can easily imagine what's coming next, can't we?
月の名所として有名な月の岬がどこを指すか諸説あるようですが、品川の近く八ツ山というのが有力なようです。
現在の八ツ山橋という橋のあたりです。
The location of this Moon-Viewing Point is said to be Yatsuyama, not far from Shinagawa Station, and where Yatsuyama Bridge is today.

橋の下は川ではなく、線路です。

その上を京急も走っています Keikyu Line above
江戸時代にはここから東が海だったなんて信じがたいですね。
今はビルがたくさん建っていて、海は見えません。
It's hard to believe that in the time of Edo, this was the waterfront.
Today, what we can see from here is a lot of buildings on the reclaimed land.

すっかり様変わりした一帯。
広重のような一枚は撮れそうにありませんね。

ところが広重さんのお恵みでしょうか？
But I guess I had a luck!
3日前、7月12日のことです。
甥っ子の結婚式が品川であり、その日はホテルで一泊して帰ることにしました。
It was three days ago, 12 of July.
I attended my nephew's wedding in Shinagawa (it was a wonderful wedding!), and stayed at a hotel afterwards.

品川駅の目の前にあって、とても便利でした。手ごろなお値段で広くてよかったですよ。

ホテルの部屋から見下ろすと、真下に品川駅が見えます。
From our room, we could see Shinagawa Station, right below.

駅の背後にはたくさんの高層ビルが立ち並んでいます。隙間からお台場にあるフジテレビ本社ビルが見えましたから、ビル群の向こうがすぐ水際なんだと思います。

さて、夜になりました。
なんとホテルの部屋から大きな満月が見えるではないですか！
明るくって大きな月！
後で知ったのですが、ちょうどその日は「スーパームーン」と呼ばれる満月が見られる珍しい日だったそうです。
When the evening fell, I went "wow!"
From our room, I could see the big full moon in the sky!
It was so beautiful, so bright!
Later, I learned that it was the "supermoon" full moon, which I don't understand very well, except that it was the very special moon.
というわけで、意図せずして、広重の絵よろしく品川の宿でお月見を楽しむことができました。
What a coincidence that I could enjoy the "super" moon-viewing in Shinagawa!
となると、今日の一枚はこれということで。
